Welcome to the 2014 USTA Conference!!!

Utah Valley Convention Center - Provo, UT

We have worked hard to make sure that there is something for every science teacher at every hour of the conference.  Please make sure that after a breakout session you take the time to fill out a survey.  Every survey you fill out is an entry into our raffle for some great prizes to use in the classroom and on your free time.

Can it Survive? - Part 1: Developing Student Understanding of Animal Adaptations

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Spark student imaginations as they learn to understand the Life Science strand with a focus on Second Grade. Come participate in hand's-on inquiry activities that demonstrate animal survival and adaptations. In addition, participants will make and take ÒfoldablesÓ. This unique way of journaling directly correlates objectives with relevant reinforcement activities. These graphic organizers help students grasp science concepts, and also serve as a study guide. Come see this fun method for integrating language arts, social sciences, and mathematics into the sciences.
